The story about Ostegompen is wonderful and makes me wonder how much of what I read has a special meaning for the author that I (and everyone else in the audience) will never know. It's a beautiful reminder that stories can work on multiple levels. Thanks for sharing.
When I was a kid, my dad would tell us Boris stories. Boris was a big, mean, smelly, *stupid* monster. He lived in a haunted house on the edge of town, was always hungry, and always failed in his efforts to eat children (based on my brother and I). Once, Boris built a rocket ship to travel to the moon, but forgot to add a steering wheel. And for a while there, he went travelling through the Foggy Forest, where all sorts of fairies and gnomes made life difficult for him. Mostly, my dad would tell these stories in the hot tub, where the steam rising off the water made it foggy, and hard to see anybody around you. Thanks for reminding me of those stories
You said 'sporadic newsletter' but you put out 3 in 8 days and it feels like I'm reading letters from my Niece in Norway (who doesn't exist yet). Your substack is already more personal than most of the others I'm following. You don't have to keep up the pace but please provide us with more stories of the dark upper half of this planet, I'd like to read about your food and myths and beverages.
I gasped when I was reading Black Widow getting a symbiote in the last page of Venom #23 and the little fearful creature "answers with joy, tickling her skin". Holy Hel, poor Natasha! What an amazing idea.
I enjoyed learning the background of Ostegompen, and I am curious to see how Skade's feline plans unfold. The owl video was just the icing on the cake. Subscribed!

Love it. Of course Boris built a rocket ship and forgot to add the steering wheel. Fantastic stuff!!
Have you ever wanted to paint a cover for any of the comics you write?

Loved your work with Thor and Valkyrie so looking forward to what's coming next! 🤙
BKV and Chip Zdarsky recommended this substack. That's all I needed to know. :)

Hi Torunn. Currently watching your NMC interview from last week, which eventually lead me here. Looking forward to future editions of your newsletter.
Loved your work on Thor, and the send off for Odin was a fitting end to his character. Can't wait to see what you do with carnage!!
The Odin painting is stunning. Fantastic work!
Also, I loved your work on the VALKYRIE books and hope you'll get a chance to do more in the future.
